You have to picture it in slow motion. The waving hands, the smiling faces, the stomping feet. ALL your guests on the dance floor, in unison, dancing to the greatest dance band in Boston. It’s Flipside. Even before you knew it would be, it was Flipside. The throbbing bass drum lights the fire underfoot, the soulful vocals and the shredding guitar take you on a musical journey like no other. When asked if a wedding was good or bad, what aspects do you consider before answering? Hands down, it’s the music. People remember music. They’ll remember dancing with friends, family and strangers and they’ll remember YOUR wedding. Because, well, it was awesome.
Flipside is Boston’s go to band for high profile events. Flipside has performed at weddings for Boston Celtics All-Star Ray Allen, Jack and Suzy Welch (CEO of General Electric and noted author) and Elizabeth (The View, Survivor, Fox News) and Tim (NFL quarterback) Hasselbeck. They were the band of choice at fundraisers for The Steppingstone Foundation, Joslin Diabetes Center, Hartford Hospital Group, the Beacon Hill Civic Association, the Green Light Fund, and the American Heart Association’s “Heartball” where they performed with President Bill Clinton. Other notable performances include Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” party, Harvard University’s Fly Club private party, the launch party for Boston Common Magazine, Boston Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Gala, and Governor Deval Patrick’s 50th birthday celebration (featuring cellist Yo Yo Ma), as well as both of his inaugural balls.
