Ensemble Impreza
Ensemble Impreza is the elegant answer to your musical needs. We offer Boston and New England’s elite classical string ensembles and chamber musicians for weddings, receptions, and special events. Strings, brass, harp, piano, and woodwinds combine to create ensembles of one to ten players. Solo musicians such as violinists, cello players, viola, flute, oboe and more are also available. Our musicians play with such venerable ensembles as the Boston Pops, Boston Ballet, Handel & Haydn Society, Boston Lyric Opera, and the Wang Center.
Repertoire ranges from Shubert, Vivaldi, Haydn, Brahms, Bach, Mozart and Beethoven to Broadway, seasonal, and contemporary pieces arranged for strings a la the Vitamin String Quartet. Since 1980, Ensemble Impreza has given over 3000 performances.
Our experience guarantees perfection at your event. The services of Ensemble Impreza are available throughout New England. Bookings can be arranged from two days to two years before an event. For additional information and current rates, contact your Murray Hill Talent Representative.
Since Ensemble Impreza offers over twenty types of ensembles, the repertoire is extensive and varied. Some classical pieces are arranged for all ensembles. For instance, the Pachelbel Canon, originally for strings, can also be played by a harp and flute duet or brass trio. Other literature, such as Chopin piano preludes and Beethoven string quartets, sound well only on the instruments for which they were composed. When requesting pieces, we suggest that you select music from the list below. We will be happy to honor other requests provided that you supply the printed music at least four weeks in advance of the engagement.
